BC RICH VINTAGE USA Mid-Eighties Custom Warlock Bass
This a super cool bass from the hairband era. Considering that it could have gotten seriously abused... it is in remarkable condition. My assumption is that it was a custom order. Simple, single volume control, PJ DiMarzio pickups and a light blue/green or somewhat turquoise color... with a very fine light purple pearl overspray. Grover tuners. I set the action up low and it plays super nice. The neck is straight. The frets are meaty and look new. It as a big thick ebony board with diamond inlays. Light flame maple neck. It feels good. A simple clean example of a great bass guitar.... in everyone's favorite shape. This thing has some weight to it. I would guess it is probably around 11lbs. Thunderous sustain. I think the body may be maple.
I originally purchased this bass for a custom paint project that I had in mind. When I got it I realized that it had a custom pearl overspray paint job that was just too nice to cover up. I thought the trucker mud-flap sticker was classic, so I left it on. The sticker is not hiding any cracks or flaws... no worries there. What you see in the photos is what you get. See the photos and decide if is right for you. There are some paint chips at the points, a very small area of belt rash, scratches here and there...etc. Nothing major. It is a used bass. I am thinning out my collection and I do not have a retail store... so there are no returns. I will not accept trades. Sorry, no case or gig bag for this one. Standard bags don't fit cause of the length. It is a tall bass! You should be able to find one at your favorite retailer or on-line.
