This is a prototype reissue of the famous BC Rich "Rich Bich" 10 string guitar. Only 16 of these were ever crafted. Completely hand-carved by the original luthier Sal Gonzales who crafted those famous "Rich Bich" guitars owned by Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Paul Chapman, Rick Derringer, Jimmy Crespo, Neal Geraldo, and Dave Mustaine to name a few. The "Rich Bich" guitar was designed by Neal Moser who was employed as an independent contractor by Bernie Rico. In 1976, Neal presented a design that was so revolutionary, that it would set the rock world on fire! Neal was contracted by HHI/BC Rich to produce 25 (one for each year) reissues models of the original prototype to the "Rich Bich" 10 string guitar. Due to legal entanglements between Neal, Sal, and HHI/BC Rich, only 16 of these incredible guitars would ever become reality. These were purchased by private collectors in Japan, Australia, and of course here in the U.S.A. This is most likely the only one you will ever see here on ebay. #1 was said to have sold for $15,000.00 USD, but I cannot confirm if this is true or not.
These were crafted to the original prototype specs using African black walnut "wings", a maple neck, an authentic Brazilian rosewood fretboard, stainless steel fretting, authentic MOP inlays, Grover Imperial tuners, and the original vintage-style "R" logo. The electronics are Neal's original spec that mirror the original prototype model. The pickups are DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF's. The bridge is an authentic Badass bridge made specifically for this build. The neck is more akin to a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in terms of its thickness. The back of the headstock is signed by Neal Moser himself, and has been stamped "Made In USA" with its #8 designation.
Comes in custom made case by G&G Cases. Shipping will be through FedEx insured delivery. I recommend upgrading the shipping to a 2 day minimum, as you don't want a guitar like this bouncing around in the back of a hot delivery truck...
