Late 70's/Early 80's B.C.Rich Mockingbird Supreme Bass
Very cool Holoflake aftermarket finish.
Classic Rich cloud inlays with cream/white binding on the neck.
24 frets, brass nut, brass bridge, top hat knobs, grover tuning keys.
The headstock cap is a custom job, with a lighter wood than that of the standards.
Body is in great shape - no dings or gouges,1 pea-sized chip on tip of lower horn.
Dimarzio pickups, with varitone electronics. The pre-amp boost doesn't work.
The bass sounds so great I never bothered to get it looked at, as I prefer passive electronics.
This is how I bought it, and was not made aware of this fact by the previous seller.
A new pre-amp boost can be purchased from nealmoser.com for around $100.
Due to the aftermarket finish, there is no serial number visible.
This is a legit bass, bought from ebay around 2004. I bought 2 of these USA basses from a private collection.
The bass is slightly heavier than a standard classic USA Mockingbird neck thru.
Leading me to believe it must be a better quality, exotic wood than what was used in the standard USA basses.
